    Hi Class,

I can’t find in my notes anywhere the answer to the first question.

    1) “In Prof. Weigand’s opinion, what are
the most important aspects of writing and why?”

    Can anyone help me out?

    Also number 9)
“What’s the key to making the 10,000 hour rule effective?”

    Thank you in advance!

Phaedra: I was also trying to figure that out and I believe the answer is within this website. Click on “My teaching Philosophy”

I don’t have a clue of where else we can find the answer!

No sure about Question #1 but I think is “Know the type, purpose and audience of the paper.
The answer for Question #9 is on the Guitar Zero- can science turn a psychologist into Jimi Hendrix? | Science | The Observer”
The first is a ton of practice
The second prerequisite is “deliberate practice”

    Luis here is #12.
Motivation 1.0 is simple and old one. It is about surviving. First drive that guided most of our behavior.
Motivation 2.0 based on external factors. The main idea is “Rewarding an activity will get you more of it. Punishing an activity will get you less of it”.
Motivation 3.0 based on intrinsic factors. It assumes that people must have an autonomy, freedom etc.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

    question #12:

motivation 1.0 humans were biological creatures, struggling to obtain our basic needs for food, security and sex
motivation 2.0 humans also responded to rewards and punishments. that worked fine for routine tasks but incompatible with how we organize what we do, how we think about what we do, and how we do what we do, we need and upgrade.
motivation 3.0 the upgrade we need, humans also have a drive to learn, to create, and to better the world.

maybe # 3 is that “even if we have 3points of thesis, we may need 20 paragraphs to explain those points”.
